It is for the twenty-third time that OFF CINEMA is going to introduce viewers to international documentaries competing in two categories.  The jury composed of outstanding filmmakers, critics and culture animators will award the Golden, Silver and Bronze Castle to the best pictures.  We promote and deliver compelling events to present Polish and international achievement in classic and contemporary cinema, including documentaries and well beyond.  The competition is accompanied by numerous special showings, meetings with the authors, film-themed exhibitions, film &  music concerts, workshops, lectures and discussion panels. The festival strongly supports the development of documentary cinema on three planes: presentation, education, and reflection.

OFF CINEMA is all about the meeting of the viewer and the filmmaker, an opportunity to talk and  share. It is this the first time that the prizes will be awarded in the categories of short (under 30 mins) and full-length films (above 30 mins).
As every year, the Platinum Castle will be awarded as well, to recognize the lifetime achievement of an outstanding documentarian.
