Does a gallery focusing on one medium makes sense in the era of intermediality? A straightforward answer to that question is far from easy. For over 20 years pf Gallery has consistently striven to exhibit the most important achievements of photography, both contemporary and historical. We provide a major venue for photographic projects which venture into new areas, engage in experimentation and represent various approaches and strategies, artistic and curatorial. Not infrequently, these projects transcend the boundaries of photography and subject the medium to critical analysis. All such endeavours seek to capture the dynamics and complexity of contemporary artistic phenomena and theoretical deliberations, so as to study photography in greater depth, with greater intensity and sharper focus, thus demonstrating its essence and specificity to the fullest possible extent.
