ALL MY LIFE IN SLACKS Ba-Ku Theatre

All My Life in Slacks attempts to tell what it is like to be Jeremi’s mother. Justyna Tomczak-Boczko treats taking care of his son as an art of living, in which the sense of humour is indispensable. After all her life is neither so sad nor so horrifying as it might seem. It is perhaps for this reason that she sometimes hears her friends say: “Justyna, you don’t look like a mother of a disabled child at all.” In the performance, Tomczak-Boczko plays herself, speaking about her life in a greatly distanced manner and with a surprising dose of humour.
Ba-Ku Theatre, associated with the Barak Kultury Foundation, was established in 2009 in Poznań. Just as the Foundation, their worldview is all about diversity, bringing together numerous artistic individualities from minority milieus.
After the performance, funds will be raised to buy a RaceRunner, a specialized bicycle for Patryk Krause, one of the performers and a charge of the Association for Persons with Disabilities and Local Action DLA CIEBIE.
