ZAMEK Culture Centre

The Department of Photography at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts, in cooperation with pf Gallery of Photography, CK Zamek in Poznan, organizes the third international review of photographic books made by students and graduates of art schools.

The exhibition BOOKI. Studying Photobooks presents the author’s photo-publications completed in recent years. Among the dozens of publications selected by the partners from the Universities in Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Poland and Slovakia, there are unique, rarely presented to a wider audience, low-volume photographic publications. Many of them were made in unconventional and unique forms.

The exhibition is accompanied by workshops and presentations, as well as a discussion on the significance and functioning of paper photographic publications and specialist education in this field. The review fosters international cooperation of universities, serving the development of education and exchange of experience, in the creation and maintenance of book visual narratives.
