CIRCUS WORKSHOPS
will be conducted by instructors from the School of Acrobatics located at Galeria Malta in Poznań. The school itself was established by Tomasz Rodak, a great enthusiast of gymnastic and air acrobatics. The workshops will introduce its participants into the world of the new circus—a domain with tremendous potential for development, a pursuit offering a sense of exceptionality and a source of great joy and satisfaction.

PO-DZIELNIA
, established a year ago, resides at ul. Głogowskiej 27. The people thanks to whom the place was created and functions wish—among other things—to overcome the stereotype that second-hand things are only for those struggling with low income. Going second-hand is actually good for us all: the environment and the world. You can bring just about anything to Po-Dzielnia, provided that those are single items. Some of the stuff from its shelves will be there to be picked up free of charge during the name day of a street whose patron knew well all those centuries ago that worldly goods are to be shared.

13.30-14.00
ul. Św. Marcin (from ul. Piekary to the Castle)

ST. MARTIN’S PARADE

Nearly 300 people will be taking part in this street parade: artists, acrobats, social activists, students and reenactors. The chief figure heading the whole is obviously St. Martin, riding on a horse along the street named after him.

ST MARTIN’S PARADE: THE FINALE

Mayor of the City of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak, will present the town keys to St. Martin,  thus underlining the significance of helping others and caring for those disadvantaged by life.

SIŁY SPECJALNE
– concert from a band created as part of the Street Music Stages project by  Nordoff Robbins Polska Foundation. It is composed of professional and amateur musicians (including  homeless persons looking for active forms of social integration). During their performances, the group interacts with the passers-by, getting them involved in playing and singing. What they do is based on the conviction that active music-making is accessible to everyone, regardless of their social status, physical ability and musical experience.

15.30-17.00
pavement along ul. Św. Marcin (from ul. Gwarna to ul. Ratajczaka)

NOISE-BAND
– the family band of Alicja and Jacek Hałas takes handfuls from traditional Polish folk music. These present-day nomads, playing rhythmical melodies you can’t help but dance to,  travel across Europe with their unique yurt. Wherever they decide to stop for a while, they collaborate with the local artists, continuously developing their skills and broadening knowledge of the music of the roots.

FINALE OF THE ST. MARTIN STREET NAME DAY
Mindful of the well-being of our four-legged friends, we will yet again dispense with the fireworks for the Street Name Day finale. Hence, this years ending of the celebrations will be different but no less spectacular. Since we’d like it to be a surprise, we can only say that among the people responsible  for the finale are Ryszard Bazarnik with band and acrobats of the Theatre “Z głową w chmurach”.
