Let us take a look at freedom from up close, a freedom in the extremely local and personal variety. Faced with politics and history we have no influence over, taking care of one’s immediate surroundings may sometimes be the only area where we can actually do things.

The works gathered here are intended to encourage reflection on how we organize our own freedom and work towards peace.

Through the arrangement of space and the programme which accompanies the show, we attempt to create an „exhibition for everyone”, including children, parents and those who consider themselves anything but fond of hermetic displays of contemporary art.
