Events in the park featuring juggling, tightrope walking, and relaxation.

Does summer in the city have to be boring?

Do you have to drop everything and run away to the circus just to learn how to juggle or balance?

Finally, do you really need a circus ring to practice juggling and circus arts, or is... a picnic blanket enough?

The SOMA Foundation for Creative Activity are rushing to answer these questions and are absolutely delighted to invite you to the HOLIDAY CIRCUS MEETUPS!!!

Meetups are part of the ZAMKOWY PROGRAM SĄSIEDZKI (ZAMEK'S NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAMME) with carried out with the support of ZAMEK Culture Centre.

We are kicking off on SATURDAY, JULY 18th and until the end of August, we will meet six times for a joint "skill & chill"— a mix of training and relaxation — in Poznań's Adam Mickiewicz Park (the section along the park arena on the Aleje Niepodległości side).

During the Meetups, the following will be waiting for you:

SLACKLINE ZONE: balancing lines stretched between trees— of various heights, lengths, and difficulty levels.

JUGGLING AND FLOW ZONE: a space for free training, learning, and sharing experiences, where you can step into the world of juggling and flow arts. You can learn selected circus skills (e.g., juggling or spinning poi), polish your technique, work on new tricks or choreographies, meet the local juggling community, and exchange knowledge. (Is there a trick you've always wanted to master? This is the perfect opportunity to finally take that step!).
Circus props will be available for you on-site, including juggling balls, scarves, and clubs, poi sets, various types of staff, diabolo, and spinning plates.

During five of the scheduled events, in addition to open training, the juggling zone will feature WORKSHOPS—a series of structured classes in selected juggling and circus fields led by guest instructors we have invited (details below).

RELAXATION ZONE: blankets, drinks, snacks, conversations... and you!

When heading to the MEETUPS, bring a blanket, something to drink, and some snacks—after all, "active rest" is still rest!

In the SLACKLINE and JUGGLING zones, you can count on help, advice, and even challenges from Facilitators!

OTHER ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION AND REGULATIONS

I. The Holiday Circus Meetups (hereinafter referred to as the "event") are open to everyone who wishes to participate—regardless of age, gender, nationality, or skill level in juggling arts and slackline balancing (including individuals who have never tried any of these fields before). However, participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian (as the organizer, we reserve the right to waive this rule in specific cases; if in doubt, feel free to contact us!).

II. Everyone is welcome, but the Holiday Circus Meetups ARE NOT circus animations organized strictly for children. Please note that there will be no children's entertainers on-site to manage the kids' time. For the comfort and concentration of those training, and due to the large number of spinning or falling props around the event area, we kindly ask that your little ones remain under your constant supervision.

III. Participation in the event implies consent for participants' images to be captured in photographic and video materials recorded during the classes. These materials will be used to promote the activities carried out by each of the organizers listed on the event's Facebook page.

IV. As the organizer, we reserve the right to refuse participation to individuals under the influence of alcohol or other psychoactive substances, as well as to anyone who negatively impacts the comfort of other participants, based on the subjective assessment of the event coordinators.

V. The event coordinators will make every effort to ensure the safe use of the props provided to participants and will take all actions within their power to assist participants in the event of any accidents threatening their health or life. However, as the organizer, we emphasize that every participant takes part in the event at their own risk (or the risk of their guardian in the case of minors) and, by participating in the proposed activities, waives the right to hold the organizers or coordinators liable in the event of an accident.

VI. By participating in the event, participants agree to accept the above terms and regulations.
