Performance presented as part of the Europe Beyond Access project, thanks to a grant from the Creative Europe programme
‘Perfect man’ is a movement performance with brief text. It’s creation is the responsibility of three independent dance and performance artist(s), for whom - in the creative process - it was extremely important to work in a non-hierarchical way in a group diverse in terms of fitness, technique, age and normativity.
The starting point of the performance is the corporeal residue of Homo Sovieticus - the concept of the perfect man as a subject of political rigour in the service of socialism. Through the practices of new choreography, the artist(s) attempted to capture the performatics of movement and the body of Homo Sovieticus and to find points of commonality in contemporary bodies from a generational perspective.
