Exhibition part of the 8th Poznań Art Week Kamila Kobierzyńska's exhibition "The Dreams of our Ancestors" consists of a series of works devoted to the topic of night butterflies. The works were created using an artistic fabric technique with dyes and serigraphy (screen printing). With reference to the theme of "Infinity" – the slogan of the 8th edition of the Poznań Art Week festival – the artist uses the motif of a reborn night butterfly, believed to be a symbol of transience, regeneration or the departing human soul. The materials on which the artist creates her visions include collected sheets, tailors’ off-cuts and decades-old silk.
