Do we live in a time when gender equality in public and private life is taken for granted? Equal rights for women and men, from the way we communicate and the language we use, to direct access and interaction in different areas of social life, should be a reality. However, women's rights are often not respected and the measures taken to support women in their aspirations and competences are insufficient.

The City of Poznań decided to initiate a social campaign entitled POZNANIANKI 2022 (THE WOMEN OF POZNAŃ 2022), with the aim of drawing attention to the activities of those female residents of the capital of Wielkopolska whose actions serve to strengthen and recognise the important role of women in the life of the city. Activities undertaken under the POZNANIANKI campaign will culminate in the WOMEN'S WEEK (17-24 October), which will begin and end at the ZAMEK Culture Centre.

Join us for an open conversation at the LONG TABLE on 17 October. Our motto will be the SISTERHOOD. On 24 October, a screening of the film WOMEN LOCKDOWN will take place. During both of these events, we will introduce you to the authors and creators of initiatives that the residents of our city themselves have particularly recommended for such a presentation, recognising and appreciating the important role of women in the life of Poznan.
