2022 St. Martin's Days is an event organised in place of the annual St Martin's Street Name Day. The renovation taking place in the vicinity of CK ZAMEK forced us to find an alternative solution. The new location – Kolegiacki Square, the Free Courtyard of the City Hall and Chopin Park – will not affect the nature of the event, which, as every year, will combine a national holiday with our local tradition. The programme will include: St. Martin's Fair, outdoor concerts, presentations by activists providing assistance and performance events.
The whole project, carried out under the slogan DO GOOD, will be dedicated in a special way to the Ukrainian community – people seeking refuge in the face of the ongoing war in their homeland. And it is Ukrainian men and women who want to thank for the open hearts of the people of Poznań by organising a social campaign aimed at integration and creativity. We will sit together at one table, giving us the opportunity to create a work of art together in an atmosphere of friendship and dialogue – an embroidered tablecloth with the symbolic inscription DO GOOD and with traditional Polish and Ukrainian embroidery elements.
From 11 October to 10 November, during daily meetings at the Castle (programme available at ckzamek.pl), we will be creating a tablecloth with invited representatives of Poznań NGOs, national minorities, as well as members of culture centres, associations and visitors to the Castle. We will complete it with all comers on 11 November at the Kolegiacki Square.
Join in embroidering together and do good with us!
