Adam Ziajski has decided to base his performance on the experience of not seeing. For several months, he conducted interviews with the visually impaired and the blind. Among those, he chose the protagonists who will appear on stage along with the actors from Teatr Śląski. Together, they will attempt to show us the world one cannot see.
Our lives are dominated by vision, as we rely on our eyesight and trust it completely. It is thanks to the facility of seeing that we acquire knowledge, find our bearings and perceive danger. Still, it has its drawbacks as well. A look directed at others may be judgemental, may objectify and create unwholesome distance. And yet, the all-seeing eye could be the genuine symbol of our world. Or could it?
