ZAMEK’S NEIGHBOURHOOD PROGRAMME

RECRUITMENT FOR THE PROGRAMME!

We support neighborhood initiatives!

What is it?

The "Zamek's Neighbourhood Programme" is a socio-cultural initiative carried out in cooperation with the ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań, which guarantees its funding. The programme is made up of activities promoting diversity, equality, integration and collective spending of leisure time, prepared by people living in Poznań. Their aim is to support and co-create local initiatives in the neighbourhood of CK ZAMEK, but also to build links with our closer and more distant neighbours.

What "Neighbourhood" means for us?

Supporting those who work to build an open and diverse local community is one of the main goals of CK ZAMEK’s mission. Community-focused activities bring the local community together and encourage people to work together for the benefit of their local environment.

Neighbourhood is both about people and places that are close to each other. We propose two types of neighbourhood cooperation:

1)  a neighbourhood initiative carried out in the direct surroundings of CK ZAMEK, in the Stare Miasto district (public spaces, courtyards, shared places);

2)  a neighbourhood initiative carried out at in CK ZAMEK - an option for neighbours from the near and farther districts of Poznań.

We will support new ideas for neighbourhood activities, but also ongoing initiatives which may lack the premises/space they need or funds for the necessary materials.

For whom?

Programme is open to all residents of Poznań, whether they have lived here for many years or have come recently to the city. Individuals, informal groups and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) may all apply. Formal residence in Poznań or Polish citizenship is not needed to take part in the programme.

What ideas can be submit?

As part of "Zamek’s Neighbourhood Programme", you can sumbmit initiatives/ideas which engage, activate or integrate your neighbourhood group. We encourage you to submit ideas for social and cultural activities that can have a positive impact on our immediate surroundings, our neighbourhood.

Neighbourhood initiatives may take the form of a picnic, meeting, fete, street or courtyard festival, game night, cooking together, slide show, fair, outdoor cinema, exhibition, walk, trip/excursion, garden work, course, workshop and many other usual and unusual ways of spending free time.

A neighbourhood initiative may include many events, but can also be a single activity. It may be involve different fields of art, leisure activities, physical activities, education, cultural animation and all kinds of culture-building undertakings.

Audiodescription

The author of the graphics is Yurii Levshyn. It consists of many colors and oval and rectangular tiles, in which cartoonish people and objects are placed. They feature a lady knitting a sweater, a boy in a wheelchair with a book, children releasing soap bubbles, people waving to each other from windows and those holding miniature houses on their hands. Other tiles include a guitar, a chess pawn, a basketball, plates and cutlery or a pin to mark a place on a map. One of the tiles shows the CK ZAMEK building with the word “Hello,” and at the bottom of the entire graphic is written “ZAMEK's Neighborhood Program." The programme's name also appears in Polish, Ukrainian and Russian.
