Workshops and nature walk

The event will be held in English with Polish translation.

Do you know how many fascinating stories are hidden in the plants we pass by every day? They grow along sidewalks, in parks, between buildings, and in small patches of greenery. Although they often go unnoticed, they are of immense importance to biodiversity and the quality of our environment.

Join us for a workshop combined with a nature walk, during which together we will:
- take a closer look at urban plants and their importance,
- discover their lesser-known functions and interdependencies,
- share our knowledge, observations, and experiences.

It will also be an opportunity get to know the local nature better, build a stronger connection with it, and see for ourselves that even small actions can make our neighborhoods greener and more welcoming.

The workshop and walk will be conducted in English with translation into Polish.

The Nature Next Door initiative is carried out as part of the Zamek's Neighborhood Programme and is funded by the ZAMEK Culture Centre. The Zamek's Neighborhood Programme is part of the Poznań Cultural Education Program.

Facylitator:

Dylanne Emilie Ratolonirina from Madagascar. Biology post-gratuate student whose passionate about community engagement, environmental awareness, and creating inclusive spaces where people can learn from one another. Through workshops and participatory activities, she enjoys bringing people together to explore everyday topics in creative and accessible ways. As someone who is still learning Polish, Dylanne values intercultural exchange and believe that shared experiences can help build meaningful connections between neighbors from different backgrounds.
